NPR’s From the Top is Seeking Local Talent
NPR’s hit show From the Top is seeking local talent for a live show recording presented by La Jolla Music Society on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at The Baker-Baum Concert Hall in The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center. From the Top shares the stories and performances of pre-college classical musicians with more than 700,000 listeners each week.
Applications are welcome from classically-trained musicians, ages 8-18, who have not yet graduated from high school. Composers and ensembles, including mariachi bands, are encouraged to apply. Needs-based scholarships are also available. Please visit FromTheTop.org/apply for more information and to submit an application. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and it is recommended that students apply by January 7, 2019 if they hope to participate in the taping at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in April.
LJMS’ Education Program is a Winner!
