ASSIA AHHATT A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA

January 31, 2020 · 7:00 PM
The Baker-Baum Concert Hall

Take a journey across a world of genres with Assia Ahhatt and find yourself captivated by her magical prowess.

A musical genius from the age of 5, Assia started with nothing but a violin and rose from the ashes of her childhood home in the war-torn country of Ukraine to be a world-class musician.

Hear modern classics as you have never heard them before, interpreted by one of contemporary music’s best violin soloists, in ASSIA – LIVE IN CONCERT. This musical extravaganza is part of special programming premiering on public television stations across the country in June of 2019 (check local listings).

Although she is classically trained, Assia’s heart is in modern ballads. In this extravaganza featuring some of the artist’s favorite songs, she demonstrates her skills woven into a brilliant tapestry with background dancers, singers, and Special Guests.

The concert features soulful renditions of classic American hits that have inspired Assia’s transcendent musical career, from Katrina and the Waves’ hit song, “I’m Walking on Sunshine,” and Secret Garden’s contemporary Christian tune, “You Raise Me Up,” all the way to Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 timeless classic, “I Will Survive,” and ABBA’s musical sensation, “Mamma Mia.” Assia delights audiences everywhere with her amazing takes on these classics and more.

This is one performance sure to entertain the entire family!
